rate = base × speaker × silence — smart speed through gaps, per-speaker pace, skip ad reads. The readout only ever shows the speed you chose.
Press = / - to change the speed you chose. The OSD only ever reports that base; the advisors multiply into the applied rate underneath it. Seek into the ad (4.1–5s) and it plays — only playback running into it is skipped.
